- Every year some 500 children are killed accidentally by guns.
- Law enforcement is diligent about not compiling statistics on accidental police shooting but they happen.
- Hell, they happen a lot.
- WTF, police will accidentally shoot each other.
- Police are already accidentally discharging their weapons in schools.
- Frequently.
If that doesn't make you feel safer, nothing will.

And today, USA Today reports a shooting on a community college campus in Texas:
"At least three people were wounded Tuesday at a Lone Star College campus in the Houston area when one man opened fire on another during an argument, also hitting bystanders, authorities said."
CBS News provides the following quote:
"I saw two dudes basically get into an altercation and the dude that shot, he basically got angry and started shooting the other guy," said student Brittany Mobley, as reported by CBS affiliate KHOU Houston. "A lot of people heard a lot of shots."
I can see why people would feel so safe with more guns -- get rid of those pesky bystanders when you get into an argument.
