A fool and his money are soon parted. ~ Dutch proverbSo, I'm looking through DailyKos and I come on this diary posting that Redstate.com is begging for money. Of course, I popped over to Redstate and, sure enough, they've got a $22,000 beg plea headlined.
Redstate.com is owned by Eagle Publishing. Only a year ago they trumpeted this acquisition would provide "RedState with the resources it needs to continue playing a leading role in the conservative movement" (source). Eagle Publishing is a huge company. Their executives spend more than $22,000 a month on cocktail wieners. Yet the conservative dolts are falling all over themselves to throw money at this wealthy enterprise. Sales of their books may be down (collapsed), but it must reassure Eagle Publishing executives in their cushy offices that the Bushite suckers can always be counted on to do stupid things.
To juice the gifts, the Eagle Publishing moochers are now whining they are "under attack" by lefties.

I read something on Eschaton about the Red State blog 'having problems' with their blogging platform and blaming it on 'liberals'.

Atrios just posted one of the funniest things I've seen in a while - the wingers at Red State are whining that it's all the liberals' fault that Red State can't make their software work: "If we'd been a liberal website, we would have been able to fix the problem quickly and relatively cheaply. The online left loves Scoop. Unfortunately, there weren't really any conservative Scoop developers out there to help us. We kept crashing and were out of money."

How pathetic.
Maybe the Red State blog and Pajamas Media along with Little Green Footballs, floping acecs, Malkinent, and Captain's Quarters will close up shop once Bush's leaves office...doubtful, but one can always hope.
