- The Israeli war in Lebanon widens with each ill-considered expansion. A week ago the Israelis were planning to create a buffer zone to be occupied by the Lebanese Army. Today, the Israeli Army is poised to attack the Lebanese Army.
- The forgotten war in Afganistan is devolving into chaos.
- The Iraq War, long in chaos, is devolving into partition, dismemberment, and civil war. While the United States government sticks it head firmly up its butt.
How I long for the days when "long, hot summer" meant sweaty sex and the occasional urban riot.
